For the limited time you had on making this, it turned out pretty nice. Art is clean and simple, music fits the minimalistic style well and the game mechanic is quite fun.

Personally, I would've put the indicator that switches the color of the balls somewhere else instead of on the skull since it's something that affects the whole area and not the skull itself. In the instructions, you forgot to mention that the skull reaches farther by holding down the mouse button or spacebar longer.

Other than that, it's a neat little game jam entry!

Really fun game with great variety. I found myself enjoying it for quite a while.

One thing that stood out for me was the recoil when you get a powerful weapon pickup. It was a nice little touch. The sound of an enemy ship exploding mixed with the recoil of your shots felt really good. Also, the music went along great with the overall art style of the game.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Glad you enjoy it! :)

The story alone deserves a full five-star rating for me. I really enjoyed the game, really challenging and fun to play. By far one of my favorite Game Jam 8 entries!

Thanx bro!

3 Days... You deserve a slow clap, guys.
I really liked the look and feel of the game. Art, Music, Gameplay and overall quality was really nice for a Game Jam game. Congrats on that.

You could've made one thing better, though, cause it seems people were having difficulties to figure out how to cut. It would've been better if the buttons for the saw, plate and welder were colored differently. Then use that color to highlight the "saw" in the text with the corresponding color. Or you could've just let the player begin with the saw.

Other than that, I congratulate you on a great Game Jam game. Good luck err'body. ;)

Thanks FuNaNdMoRe!

About the confusing, we added some arrows so people get it easier :) Glad you like it! We worked so hard on it haha

Thanks for the review!

The good old days.

Dude, seriously, this game brought back a lot of childhood memories. I felt like a little kid while playing it. Thank you for this.

Fabulous game, it was worth all the hard work. Keep it up!

Pretty good game

I really liked the game mechanics. Really smooth.
Overall it was quite an entertaining little Halloween game, good job :)

I have to agree to some guys here, though. I don't know if it's my fault but when the game was over it just showed the outside of the house with monsters walking in, over and over.

Fixed, sorry, and thanks

Good for a quickie.

As soon as I saw the title screen the game seemed to be rather promising. But to my disappointment it wasn't as much fun as I expected it to be.

Art:
The art in the title screen and winning screen were cute. The (pixelated) art for the actual gameplay was simple yet nice to look at.

Music:
If you would've used the song just for the title screen it would've fit great. But using it for the actual gameplay didn't make the game enjoyable at all. It was too repetitive.

Programming:
The sticky controls added a slight difficulty to the game but it wasn't really fun. The delay of the controls made it hard for me go back and play the game once more. I've checked out some of Sam's programming in other games and I can say that he could've made way better than this. Also, what was the score for? You could've left it out completely since there wasn't a scoreboard or anything like that where the score would've been useful.

Concept:
The concept was cute and simple. Collecting mushrooms in a specified area while you can whip enemies and a "final" boss with your flamingo stick (or whatever it was).

The game was fun for some minutes but makes the player lose interest pretty fast. Sticky Controls. Repetitive Music. No power-ups or anything that could make the game more interesting. Nothing that could make the player crave for more (score, medals, etc).

But since this game was made in approximately 2-3 days I'll judge accordingly. Plus I'll leave out the music since it wasn't something you've made.

That was different.

A soldier suddenly falling from the sky, armed with three weapons, shooting storks and babies and in the end confronting a killer whale who spits out fireballs.

It was new to me. Original and fun. Even though the game didn't last long. But it made up for some good laughs, especially when the boss showed up.

- The visuals are as always clean and well-drawn.
- The music choice was great. I didn't expect this kind of game when I listened to the opening song, haha.
- The game was programmed well. No bugs (at least for me) and a fun concept.

I'm looking forward to seeing your next game. Keep them up! :)
